Lianne Pinchuk persuaded a Federal Court to dismiss a counterclaim asserted against our clients for tortious interference with a real estate contract. This is the second time that the Court has dismissed this claim.

Rob Ganz has successfully defended a claim brought against our client based on a promissory note on the ground that other business transactions were so inextricably intertwined with the note that they provided a defense to the claim.

Conor Brownell has settled two large and complicated cases on behalf of his contractor clients with extremely favorable outcomes.

Beth Carey is working with several clients on long-term succession planning arrangements.

Jed Wolkenbreit has recently obtained a successful result for a client in a matter before the NYS Office of Professional Medical Conduct and has been involved in the restatement of partnership agreements for several clients.

David Siegfeld has settled an estate litigation matter involving a fiduciary accounting and an internal family dispute which finally allowed this estate, which had been open since 1998, to close.

On March 9, 2010, Robert Ganz and Conor Brownell conducted a seminar about practical considerations for debtors and creditor in collections. The seminar was sponsored by the Albany County Bar Association. This seminar concerned the practical applications of collections law for a non-bankrupt client with creditors after him/her. The seminar addressed questions about what happens when someone is trying to collect on a debt, what the creditor can and cannot do, what the creditor knows, and what methods or tactics are most useful in negotiating.

We are continuing our long-term partnership with Trinity Institute in order to simultaneously recycle our aluminum cans and help a worthy charity. We have also selected a shredding and recycling provider that ensures that our paper is recycled into new paper goods locally. Such local recycling reduces our carbon footprint by alleviating the need to have pulp shipped to a faraway plant in order to be reconfigured into useful paper products
